MAPLAB
Event Identity, 2014
MAPLAB was an event that I initiated to promote video mapping among students in ESAD Caldas da Rainha.
The video mapping notion was brought into the event identity through the distortion of the logotype in irregular surfaces. The logotype was projected and photographed onto various surfaces throughout the city, resulting in multiple versions of the logo.
The logo was the starting point for the MAPLAB typeface, with narrow letterforms that were designed to maintain readability even when distorted on irregular surfaces.
